11.20.10 - Red Bull Trail Run Challenge (Palos)

I normally post the fall trail run that Universal Sole sponsors every year so here it is....new location, new name, same great fun.

Red Bull Trail Daze

Bring ur bikes if you want too

And it starts at 9 am! Late enough to deal with any hangovers, etc.

Any more info about what makes the courses easy, medium or hard? I'm looking at the website, but do not see this info except that the easy course is 7 miles long?

Thanks.

Greg

Since this is new I'm not entirely sure what each of the courses entail. I am guessing that the easy course is mainly on the double track / main trails (yellow course) with little to no difficulty (eg, switchbacks, hills, creek crossings, etc.) but the longest of the courses. I imagine the hard to be on the singletrack trails (maybe the 3 ravines?) but shorter (maybe 5k?) and the medium to be somewhere in the middle (out n back trail?). I'll see if I can't inquire at U. Sole to see if they know any more.

I saw somewhere that you get a Red Bull beanie hat which covers most if not all of the cost of the $25 entry. And if this is anything like the other U. Sole fall trail runs there will be a slew of free good food and beer at the end.

Oh, and Vcook gets a shout out for having done one of these in years past!

ah crap I just looked at the date, I'm going to be out of town for my wedding anniversary. The one I did in the past was fun, people should go out for this!
