weight loss contest?

I know it's sad, but i need motivation again. It worked really well last year when a bunch of us chipped in $50 each and the winner took the pot. I've been blaming my shoulder and knee way too much for not getting back in shape lately, and it's time to go health crazy again. so... who's with me!?

The only way I could lose 10 pounds, would be cutting off a limb.

Good luck to all that try.

Man! Sounds ALL to familiar! Prior to me going back to school..... (AND getting in a relationship haha) I reached a peak weight of 204 and in the matter of months shredded off about 10%+ in Body Fat and dropped down too 169! 34 FREAKING LBS!!! I was in pretty incredible shape for what I accomplished and after doing so, I then re-enrolled in school about a year ago and also got into my relationship about 15 months ago. Fast forward to present day and I'm back to anywhere between 190-194 and a fatty again! SHIT BLOWS!!!

Tom

Yea mine wasn't as much diet related as it was manage portions, be "Mindful" of what I was eating and completely KILLED myself in the gym for 1-4 hours a night, between weights, hoops, and racquetball! ha

You idiots realize that losing weight dramatically through these stupid efforts is horrible for your body and will continue to cause you to gain this weight back again, right?

Why do people harm their bodies like this? Seriously, losing weight is wonderful. Maintaining a healthy weight is ideal. Just because you start up school, or because your knee hurts, does not mean the weight should be put back on.

I have to work losing about 4-5% of my current body weight over the winter. Too many cheeseburgers toward the end of the riding season and not enough workouts (other than track time). Started the regular exercise program again a few days ago and boy am I sore!! Jordan, come on over and I'll kick your ass for motivation...

Ken, Lemme know when you are going for Lou's and I'll join you.

And FWIW, you're being mean to these good people.

back when I went on the road for Sony I managed to get to nearly 240lbs with an extra 5 inches on my waist. It took 4 years in the gym and re-training myself in eating habits to get back to 180-185. I've stayed within a 10 pound range ever since.

I swore off deserts as part of keeping the weight under control, so bring on the deep dish, I'll sit back and watch you have desert.
