Krav Maga is what you make of it just like any other martial art. Plus it depends on where you actually train.

LOL...... yes I do. Along with other things.

I am now down to 215 ( down 28lbs since July 19th) and trying to get to 199 by the mid of January.

I also just passed the physical for county two weeks ago so now I'm just waiting for the poly and crazy test date. With that said I figured something like this would help me not only keep in shape but also drop more weight. I'm looking to be 180 by July.

I think Krav Maga would be ideal for the line of work to come.

I did at one point, seemed pretty good for the year or so I did it. It honestly seems like they took what's simple, efficient, and effective from most forms of martial arts/combat sports. Their baseline defense system back when I took it was pretty much boxing/kick boxing, ground bjj, striking a combination of boxing, kick boxing, muay thai - thats what I thought anyway. Best thing about the system is that they aren't afraid to refine their methods with different techniques. I remember a few times where my instructor came in and said "hey we're going to change so and so to so and so because a couple guys that trained under the system that are in iraq said it seemed to work better and make more sense."

Had a couple of good weapons defense and mma seminars by bas rutten that really felt beneficial to me personally - but dont know if things like that are common to most krav maga gyms or just the one I attended.
