Tough Mudder, anyone doing it?

This looks totally rad! No pansy ass Warrior Dash here, this has some real serious stuff! Looks great! I can't do it because I have an Xterra triathlon on Saturday and a WORS race on Sunday, but I want to know how it is from someone. It looks wicked! 15 miles of hell...

I'm considering skipping the WORS race and doing this on Sunday after Xterra on Saturday. I'll suck, but man would it be a challenge. Shit, I've never ran that far yet, let alone obstacles!

several people from my crossfit gym are doing it and are trying to coax me and my wife into it. I am all for it, but because it is a team activity and I run at a pace that makes turtles look fast, I am afraid I will hold everybody up.

Wait wait wait. It's a team deal? Do you have to run a team, or can you do it yourself?

If its a team deal I might be convinced to do it... as long as my team mates don't suck!

Yeah, but only the fun parts. A big long O-course and no endless drilling.

Buddy of mine was thinking about putting together a group for this and I wanted to go....but it's the weekend before the FL bar exam, which I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to do either.

Let's form a team. Must have matching spandex, though.

you can do it alone if you would like, and the top finishers get the opportunity to go on to the national tough mudder race. However, the event is designed as a team building event and as such is done as a team.

Looks like I could get to start at the front if I do it on my own. Olympic tri in 2:15 makes the cut, which I did at Lake Geneva last year. Not sure I want to race for 15 miles though.

Really not sure if I would ever do this.
On the surface, the cost is Entry Fees + One pair of shoes.

No matter, I just ran into an article about these events...

I thought about doing this but that price is holding me back.

Looking at the obstacles, they are aimed for a team.

U see the team that does it in gas masks, and carry a teammate who is paraplegic and missing part of his arm?!?!
That's tough!!

You can do it yourself. There will be other people there to help you over some of the taller obstacles. Or just crawl up their backs. Do what you gotta do.
