looking for something like a total gym

I need something that I can do some resistance work with my legs. I'm recovering from my second knee replacement, and need to keep my calf/leg strong. I also need something that I can use to keep the new joint bending. At therapy I use a total Gym, and I'm looking for something similar. I did a search on craigslist for total gym, but I want to make sure that I'm not overlooking something similar. Any suggestions?

For reference here is what I'm currently using, something simpler would work too. I just need the resistance, and the stretching/bending of the joint.

Could you get some resistance bands and wrap them around a door handle or a similar fixed object? $25 probably for a good set.

I need the bending more than anything, and having my weight pressing on it helps a ton. I'm already doing a therapy band workout, I really need something like the total gym, I just didn't want there to be something with a totally different name that I'm missing because I'm only searching "total gym" and "leg press"

Being married to that cheap ass Dave, I don't think I have to remind you about craigslist for this stuff. There is so much used crap like this out there because people don't stick with it very long, so you can probably save a few hundo by searching around once you figure out what you want.

Reading fail. Use brand names like Golds, Universal, etc. for searches. Dave I totally approve of your purchasing philosophy.

I have a bike thing that sits on the floor and it's just pedals. It works great for the round motion, but I need something that builds strength and also works on bending my knee replacement. I use something like a total gym at therapy and it works great.

I don't have the $$$ for a sybian at the moment, but it's on my wish list.
