Judson 5K fun run

Do it. It's cheap, and a great way to test your fitness thus far.

Hell if I know. It's a 5K race for $5. I'm in. My kid will be doing it too. Don't feel bad if she beats you.

The race was just around the campus, nothing special. The kid's mile race was awesome though. Every single kid got to pick out a big trophy, and they all had smiles on. Dani did her mile in 6:43, pretty good, and just edged out by her teammate on her tri team for 3rd. 1st place kid was 13 or something.

I finished in 21:10, which is a 6:49 pace and not bad, but not was I was hoping for. I didn't feel good during the race for some reason, and didn't feel like pushing it. I got beat by Rick at a 6:10 pace and Scott at a 6:40 pace, so I wasn't thrilled about that either. Plus I got hammered on the last mile by a kid 3 feet tall, supposedly some state champ for his age, legs moving like a blender, no more than 10 years old. Damn.

My kid did the 5K after her mile race and finished that too without walking and a respectable time as well.

Thanks dude. My fastest so far, but hoping for better. I have done close to that pace in training pretty easily, so I was thinking I could take at least 10-20 seconds per mile in a race.
