Vodka's What's your favorite?

I drink Smirnoff sometimes as it is on sale often but I've been liking Effen lately as I have been avoiding mixers and the taste is good enough to drink on ice.

Drinking massive amounts mixed with something (usually water) - Smirnoff
Drinking casually on the rocks - Grey Goose

So, usually starts out Goose then ends up Smirnoff. Times are tough, gotta be economical

Vodka makes me crazy so I don't drink it anymore. But when I did it was Grey Goose or Belvedere. Keep the bottle in your freezer.

For mixing you can almost get away with anything. Gordon's works but I really like Finlandia for mixing. Straight or in a drink where the vodka really is forward such as a gimlet I like Goose or Ketel One. Really dig the Costco knock off of Grey Goose, rumor has it that they bought the old Goose distillery in France when they moved to a bigger place. So your getting the same water and stills they used.

Because for some reason, vodka get the reputation of being a "healthy" alcohol.

Even the worst vodka, If mixed correctly, still becomes a decent drink. Right now I have been drinking 'absolute pear vodka, mixed with eithe cranberry, or pear & mountain dew, with a splash of cranberry" it's all good as long as the mixer is good

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

Vodka goes to the freezer to help tame the burn. Good vodka doesn't burn and shouldn't be stored in the freezer. It could be chilled an hour or two before drinking in order to chill the drink you're putting it into.

Since it's probably going to be mixed, I just go for Sobieski vodka.

I have 2 litres of greatest vodka you can find in Russia sitting on my table right now as I unpack from my Russian Trip:

also picked up a bottle of second best to try: green mark pine nut flavored

when between visiting Russia and noone to bring the nectar, I resort to Ketel One, or Grey Goose, but every time I do it, a little baby Jesus cries as my Christian friends like to say

My personal favorite is free. My second favorite is cold.

My brother works for Deageo(sp), the people who bottle most of the booze you can get in northern IL. Longtime manufacturers of Smirnoff.

Smirnoff has some really good vodka, once you get away from the red label stuff.

I think the best one of theirs I had was a black label "triple distilled", whatever that means. The blue one was good too, if memory serves.

I've gone through a ton of booze out of there. I was thinking of getting a 55 gallon drum of Seagrams 7. I love me a 7-7.
