Life Time Fitness (exersize)

anyone else a member here?
Im lookin for someone to workout with.

current schedule is

m/w/f everything from the waist up.
t/th/sat everything from the waist down.

Generally 8-12 reps 3 sets 2x. about somewhere between 2-3 hrs a day after 5pm.

Been going to the one close to my house (Naperville)

That's 2-3 hours per day, but you're doing "everything from the waist up" on one day, and "everything from the waist down" on the next?

I'm not sure what your goals are, but I'd work on the structure of your routine.

There's an unlimited number of theories of how to work out, but if I may?...

Concentrating on bodyparts will, imo, give you better results and I've been working out for 14 years now....

Day 1 - Chest
Day 2 - Back
Day 3 - Shoulders
Day 4 - Biceps and Triceps
Day 5 - Legs (including calves)
Day 6 - Either cardio or off
Day 7 - Repeat.

4-5 excercises per bodypart (except biceps and triceps, they only need 2-3 each), with 4-5 sets of 12-6 reps.

That's a pretty decent starting point (please excuse me if you are a seasoned veteran, I'm making an assumption here).

You'll have, no doubt, people question the 12-6 reps, and as often as I hear the comment made

"I'm not looking to get huge."

I've yet to see anyone accidentally get bigger or more muscular than they intended.

But my favorite comment of all time...

I had a relative/friend that was about your size.... but a little bit bigger.
