Physical therapists are usually pretty good. Do the exercises they want you to and you'll make good progress. A lot depends on your physical condition before the accident. If the area was pretty strong before hand, it will return to full duty quicker than if it was weak.

+1 on that. tough it out now, or risk a lifetime of pain.

Physical therapists are an excellent source of information to get you where you want to be, physically. If you don't like the one you have, ask for a different one. Its YOUR body, after all.

Just for clarification for WSE and Underdog, physical therapist does not mean sleeping with your shrink.

By all means do the exercises they tell you to do! It will help in the long run i promise!

One thing you MUST do is play really sore one day so they can hook you up for the electric stimulous! It feels really good and DEFINITLY relaxing!

Nolan can help you out. I just went to therapy after being in a cast for 3 months with a torn ECU sheath in my wrist. I went to Athletico in Oak Brook and was very happy with them. Getting your movement back in uninjured joints that were casted should only take a week or so, but if you dislocated foot it'll take longer. Don't skip out on therapy, or you'll never get the movement back
