Weight Loss Challenge

It has begun... well at least where I work, we started a weight loss challenge between 12 guys and there is a chance to win 120 bucks We'll just have to see. However to give me some advantage I also started keeping track on my blog and also this website I found. They say that the best weight to lose weight is to control intake, I think that actually recording stuff will help. We'll have to see... anyone else wants to start keeping track? We could also do a thread here...

Anyone serious about their nutrition should really check out this website

http://fitday.com

Its completely free and man, just after a day I can see how bad just eating a couple of burgers can be. Give it a try, is easy to use and it will help you with whatever your fitness goal is.

Eating on the road is tough, especially down south where everything is deep fried in yumminess and the tea is so sweet it gives you a headache. And all the drinking doesn't help either.

I try to make sure I hit the health center in the hotel a couple times. While not a Bally's, it should do for a week.

and I'll check out that website logtar. Be interested to see how bad I eat over the week.

my hours while traveling will vary greatly. i might start work at 6am and get to dinner at 10pm. Trust me, food wise it's a real bitch.

i don't have a scale, or I would participate.

I do do Gilad EVERY day, plus i teach my water aerobics classes for two hours on mondays. I also have completely substituted non-fat yogurt for mayo (my previous best friend). I am a good cook, so eating right isn't hard. It's eating small portions that's hard.

just curious

why are people listing their height? Trying to justify your current weight somehow or do some of you plan on changing your height?

This is about total pounds and loss % of total weight right?

+1
On the 12-week program I started, you get your registration fee back if you meet either your bodyfat % goal OR your weight goal. They measure you every week for both, and they say that there will be weeks where the scale doesn't budge (or it even goes up) but your bodyfat % went down.
