Allergy season worst in 50 years - and bananas only make it worse?

If your allergies are acting up more than normal lately (and nothing seems to be helping), here is why:

Interesting note in the article: eating bananas may trigger allergy symptoms!

I feel like someone is choking me sometimes. I cough and cough in futile attempts to clear my throat.

Allergies are a sign of in-breeding.

I suspected there was some truth in that stereotype about Yankees marrying their cousins, now it is proven!

Allergies? Whats allergies?? Never had one...

I read somewhere that US is number 1 in the world on % of population suffering from allergies. Some researchers attribute it to high levels of antibiotics in the food procuded in US. It creates the condition that in many cases minor infections are being suppressed by them before they get chance to affect our immune systems. In addition, there is tendency of US parents to rush to a doctor and get prescription meds on a first sign of fever or infection instead of just "Walk it out, nobody died from it" attitude in some other countries

So American kids spend sugnificantly less time having running noses, sore throats and fevers than in other countries, but in long run it negatively affects their immune system and causes allergies to develop.

I could not find that article, but found something related here:
