Boxing or MMA gyms, NW burbs?

anyone know of any boxing or MMA gyms in the Northwest burbs? particularly ones where they don't mind some Joe off the street coming in to train for the sake of having some fun and getting a good workout.

Gracie's school is in chicago I'd say maybe 20 minutes away from Des Plaines/Park Ridge area, and teaches BJJ

You could check the forums at http://www.sherdog.com/ for more schools most likely, im sure youll get what your looking for with a post there

NESBA - Seems to be missing, can someone direct me where to find it?

This is from http://www.mma.tv . I can't vouch either way for it, but the prices listed on their website is about what I'm paying up here.

I'd give muay thai a shot for aerobic workout. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is fun, but not super 'workout' until you get to rolling. Most gyms won't let you do that until you've been there a few months.

I don't know if they do MMA, but there's Pug's in Marengo:

I thought there was one in Streamwood near Lake and Park blvd? I also think there's a place on Lake street in Roselle. That place is Hackney's Academy and is owned by that ex UFC fighter. I'm not sure how good those places are but I don't think they'll mind teaching you and letting you roll around with them. Good luck.

Somebody left me a flyer on my car Sunday for a place opening up in Schiller Park called "Revolution Fitness":

http://www.myrevolutionfitness.com/

According to the flyer, they supposedly will do MMA there.

PM jimzx9r. He's a ninja (although he doesn't wear a cape, so I don't know how legitimate he is).

I meant you could suggest a place to go (for MMA that is).

Hey Jim...uh...I hear you do MMA and stuff...could you come over sometime? My mom will make lasagna and we can drink Yoo Hoo and stay up until 10! I think my dad has some dirty magazines in the bathroom.
