Home gym flooring?

Any ideas for a suitable flooring for a room converted into a home gym? I need something for a treadmill, weights, and a bench.

Currently I have carpet in this room and want to keep the carpet but lay a protective barrier on top.

Im not worried about dropping heavy dumbells either or overall structurual weight capacity as this is a cement floor.

Rubber interlocking tiles are a possibility, but I was thinking of a engineered wood floor system...kinda like the rubber interlocking tiles but wood. Ive seen these "temporary" floors and think it would work well in my space.

ditto, but if you go this far you actually have to use the gym Kruz. Are you up for that?

Rubber inter-locking mats. They have them at the best price I have found at Chicago Home Fitness. Feel free to check them out next time you are over here beating Greg at pool... (it's Tuesday by the way...)
