I am too, it will be my first 5k. I run 5k on the treadmill 5 days a week... should be a breeze! Hope I can do it ~ 25-26 minutes.

I'm running it again this year. I missed it last year, but have run it most years since 98. It's a 3.5 mile race by the way; just a bit longer than a 5K.

It's usually helpful to check what the time is when you pass the start time. With the amount of people, it can take a minute or so to just make it to the start line. That way you can figure out your actual time to complete the run.

I wouldn't base results from a treadmill. It is easier to run on a treadmill then on actual pavement.

I feel just the opposite. I *HATE* running on a treadmill, and will get so bored that my mind tricks me into thinking I'm tired. I can easily run much farther outside, on the pavement since it is more enjoyable.

Yup, same here. Treadmill bores me and tires me much faster than outside...

Getting ready to leave in a few minutes. Aiming for 29 minutes or less

Good luck, Hans.

I'll be looking for you.

I hope my co-worker calls to cover for me or I'm not going to make it. We had this arranged weeks ago.

I'm his boss and we have a meeting tomorrow. Guess what will be on the agenda....

Now that is a great idea. I need to think of some creative punishment for him.

wow this race was a breeze ran it in 32 mins, I believe that it could of been done 27-28 minutes as I decided to start with my wife who was walking in the back. I never dodged so many people in my life (even ran on the grass too) all in all great time. I am looking to do another 5K in the near near future....Maybe this month.
