Lifetime?!?

Hey, I just moved out to Joliet, and working in Frankfort, pretty close to a Lifetime Fitness...I have a Bally's membership that I'm paying $6 a month to go to, however it's too far to drive every friggin day, so that's why I'm considering Lifetime...

Other than Eye-candy, what has everybody heard about this club? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

You should really check out the Park District Health Club on Jefferson. It is brand new and has everything the other gyms and than some. We have belonged to Lifetime and Gold's Gym and the Park District is right up there with them.

I go to Lifetime in Schuamburg, tons of eye candy

but otherwise that place is so nice, only complaint i have is there is no running track. but i can't run anymore, so its no longer an issue.

if you ride a motorcycle they even let you park up on the sidewalk

I was a member at Lifetime in Orland for 2 years. It is a nice facility, but I like going to work out, not look pretty like most of the people there. For me, it wasn't worth the price of admission. My company paid for my membership, but when I changed companies, I lost that benefit. Now I go to Body Tech in Mokena, and am quite happy.

If you are driving between Joliet and Frankfort, you should consider Cardinal Fitness. Membership is cheap and everyone I know seems to have a membership there, and they are happy with it.

Whitedawg, if you have a membership that you can sell to ballys and want to get rid of it, let me know.

Where is Body Tech? I heard about that place but don't know much about it...I want all the basics, plus hopefully a lap-pool and basketball courts if possible (not a huge deal), and I'll be working at 208th and Lagrange. Anything about that place that makes it stand out at all?!? Wait...is there eye-candy?!?

Lifetime is nice....if you can afford paying $49.95 a month for a lifetime. It is one, if not the nicest gyms I've been a member of...but it depends really on what you're into. If you just wanna workout and leave, then sign up somewhere else. If you like hitting the steam room, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, pool, play b-ball/racquet ball etc. after a good workout, then it's definitely worth it.
