So I joined Xsport Fitness

Yay! I am excited! 39 bucks a month isn't too terribly bad. Besides I've put on enough weight that it's time to get back to healthy. I noticed this when I was trying to push mort around in the go-kart to get it started, lol.

Anybody a member? I need a workout partner.

5k! Are you nuts!

Looks like I can go to all of them. The ones I will mainly be going to, are the Downer's Grove location and the one in Naperville right off of 75th and 59.

I remember when...

Congrats man! Good to hear, just set something up with more cardio involved!

And even though it was only 5 years ago, your body is a little bit older, and these are the years that you'll notice you aren't 17 anymore...

This might be off topic, but what does everyone who is trying to lose fat do for cardio? and how many times a week? how intense? I'm looking specifically for information specifically on people who do the majority of their cardio in the gym and perhaps a bike ride or jog outside on the weekend as supplementary cardio.

I get my cardio done before my workout to get the blood flowing and my sweat on. I usually run anywhere between 3 to 5 miles. To miz up I do the rowing maching or the step machine.

Changed up my routine:

Monday - Chest/Bi's
Tuesday - Back/Tri's
Wednesday - Off
Thursday - Shoulders
Friday - Chest/Bi's
Saturday - Morning Cardio/Stomach
Sunday - Morning Cardio/Legs

15 minutes on treadmill (6mph jog) before lifting, another 15min post lifting, everyday except when i do back/tri's and Wednesday. Before it was all treadmill, now i'm mixing it up with the elliptical, pre lifting (sp?) and the stair master thingy post lifting.

Update, i'm down to 151lbs from 167lbs, which was 4 months ago. 'Pouch' is still there but not as big, and now i can do 8 chin ups, 0 before working out.

I'm tryin' to look like the Asian Floyd Mayweather.

Barely eat fast food here, maybe once a week (usually Subway, daily special lol, 6in), less rice (usually half a bowl, tiny bowl that is), no pop, no eating after 8pm unless i'm really drunk/and or hungry.
