Course info is here: http://www.menshealthurbanathlon.com/course.cfm

Race is about 12 miles long with a run, stair climb, and obstacles. Should be fun but brutal.

3 person relay might be doable. doing this solo would kill me.

I'm tempted. Nice thing is I have a base level built up so training should be easier.

I'm trying to decide if I want to train this way or get back into weights. Give me a few days to think about it.

Just did a 4 mile run yesterday. 9:25 pace. I am trying to follow the intermediate training program. And as there are only 9 weeks till the race, I am starting with week 3.

I know it said 4.5 but I will be doing 5 tomorrow and the rest of the week to make up.

Tonight I am weight training!

Just got back from a 6 mile run. It was supposed to be 5 miles but my wife mapped it out wrong. Of course it was easy as pie for her, but for me, well I am just glad to be alive.

I have decided I'm too big of a pussy to do this event solo.

I'm actually trying to get away from running because I hate it. I'm trying to focus on swimming so next summer I can compete in 2 mile swim races.

Sprinting a mile???? Man I am no where near sprinting a mile. I have been doing just under a ten minute per mile pace on my 6 mile runs. 4 milers were around a 9:20. Running is all new territory for me. My version of cardio was basketball 3-4 times a week.
