Fellow CLSB Runners......

......do any of you seem to have your best run when you are dawg fuckin tired and want nothing to do but sleap, yet like a dumb ass you lace up and go? I swear to friggin god, I run the best when I am beat - Not sure what it is - I can be at work and see the sun and think cool gonna run by the lake after work, check out some tail and get in shape - I gas early - Then, days like today when I am tired and hung over and feel bad about what I put my body through the night before, I get out of the lounge chair by the pool, lace up and after about 10 mins am just Forest Gumpin like a muthafuckah

Anyone else ever experience this?

I always thought it was because I wanted the pain to stop faster so I pushed harder to get through.

Running or just working out, a lot of times I have my best workouts when I feel like shit going in to it...weird it is.

Not sure how far you're running, but shorter runs, like under an hour fuck yeah! If it's not too hot though...

I agree with the part of feeling better... maybe its mind over matter.

I read up on drinking and running, and there is something about the liver, glycogen and stuff... I think it is the liver has a good short term store since it gets abused by the alcohol and is ready for more abuse, so I think there is something scientific about it... maybe...

Running hungover? I don't do well w/ the next day dehydration and my muscles are always tight. After last night, running was definately not on today's agenda...

It's analogous to episodes of superhuman feats of strength!!!! When you hear stories of people lifting up cars to save someone, etc.!!! You're just tapping into your superman abilities that you don't even know you have when you're hungover or dead beat but in normal everyday life your Clark Kent persona isn't cutting the mustard on the run course

I've noticed that too. Though getting motivated when I'm dog tired is the only problem
