HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Oh shit, this isn't even on a dedicated? I'm sure I've got at least one spare server sitting in the UK (125ms ping) and I need to pickup another rack downtown over the coming months. If you want to move over to dedicated server free of charge let me know.

Dedicated servers are costly and i have too many members who feel its thier responsibility to "warn" everyone about dealers which makes all my sponsors pull out, so just like i always say the members make this site what it is, it works both ways. the members keep me on an inexpensive hosting option.

Off the top of my head...

I've got a Core2Duo 2.4 with 4gig of ram sitting idle.

Dual Xeon 2.8 with 2gig of ram semi idle (<1% load).

My UK box's are semi colo, I pay 50% of the hardware cost then get a decreased rate similar to colo. The Chicago colo I'll be getting in a couple of months is FDC (which suck I know, but it's for a particular project), and my other colo over here is Gigenet.

UK is with A2B2, 100% uptime over the last twelve months:

THAT right there is why i cant host the site with a user. lets say i have no choice but to ban said user someday for something. i put the whole site at risk that way.

Simple, just deny me the root password, I don't need access to the box anyway. Alternatively, I can just transfer the box into your own account and keep paying it. The end result is the same, but I'd not have access to disable it. I'm pretty sure the box is on a $140/mo contract, so even if I was banned and refused to pay it then your loss is only for a month till you move it back to wherever you're comfortable with. I'm far from a vengeful person and $140/mo to not have the site crash every morning is a small price to pay imho.

Don't ever break that rule. Business is business.

Someone can always yank a power cord of neglect to pay THEIR provider for services.
