Getting a thread stickied about online stores...

I searched and didn't see a thread like this and didn't see anyone asking for one and being turned down so I figured I'd ask... Not sure if we can do this or not since we have the advertising banners up top.

Is it possible to start a thread and have it stickied with recommendations for online sites that we can order gear or parts from? I had to order parts recently and the site I normally order from went out of business and it was a PITA to search through a million threads about parts and gear to find recommendations for other sites. I ended up just ordering from a big name site but I know I paid more than I should have due to being in a rush.

i dont see why not.

just know every persons experience could be different is all.

just because we make a thread as we know doesn't mean its true.

but i think if we put in our honest input, and if there was a bad experience with a said business they also post the follow up of how they tried to remedy it.

i dont have to protect any paying person or that adsense shit on top so its all good by me.

this place is funded now with you guys clicking the ads on top and your donations which so far is working and a ton less stress and more play time for us. so its all good in my book.

Everyone's opinion of everything will always vary but I would at least like to know of sites that I might not have heard of or found otherwise so I can try it out myself. If people could even just post stuff like "offers free shipping with $75 purchase" or "offers price matching" or whatever. Stuff like that is always good to know.

Yes I think that is a great idea. I recently bought parts as well and let me tell you between forums and search engines it's a job. I did get a great deal but it took a month before deciding. First it's the best price for the items. Then it's one store has one part cheap and the other parts your looking for are more expensive. So trying to find a store that sells everything you need cheap. Then you should call the onlinestore 1 to verify there legit and then to try to negoiate the cost of the parts and possibly shipping. Then because we live in the windy city if it is off season and you can do the work for a couple of months will they warrenty the part when you put it on during the season and realized it was defective. I have a headache from writing all this but it is true. All these thing I did to get great deal and I did.

I still compare various websites for gear and parts, but recently I've been supporting DGY. Dan gave me some great deals that I would have had a very difficult time beating on any web store.

Local dealers are great but in all honesty I don't have time to go to them and in most cases I would rather pay for it to be shipped to me to save me time.

hmm, liking the dgy.com microfische, easy to navigate and can actually read most of the part numbers lol

Only thing is...can't figure out how to order parts from them online yet..d'oh!

edit 2...anyone know?? I can get into their online microfische, first page even talks about ordering OEM parts online, but I can only look at a picture with part numbers on it when I look at my bike parts..nothing saying to order a part number. gah! Might just head over to ronayers or bikebandit....
