new window/tab for banner ads?

is it possible to have banner ads default to opening in a new window/tab (depending on your browser) when clicked? I try to click on them at least once whenever I come to the site just to get you guys your fractions of a cent; but when I'm actually interested in one, I click it and it takes the place of the thread I was reading.

i'm assuming that's a browser thing..

although firefox only has an option for new links to be opened in either a new tab or new window

click on them with the wheel on your mouse. it'll pop it up in a new tab. if you don't have a clickable wheel, I think ctrl-click will do the same thing.

just tried the ctrl+click, works. guess it's not a browser thing, mine would open in the same window too without that tip

had to turn off my ad-blocker, just now decided to get some add-ons for firefox, some cool stuff out there!

I have Firefox, all other links I click in threads and espn and yahoo and the rest of the internet open in a new tab. I was just curious about these banners ads without having to remember to right click and select new tab or ctrl-click.

I could make it do that modifying the code, but surprisingly it's against googles terms of service, to make it open in a different window.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

probably because a lot of pop up blockers might stop it? just a guess though
