Post RA June 1

First off I'd like to thank NESBA and Wink, for the free track day
Secondly I'd like to thank Beac83 for hauling my bike and letting me pit with him.

This was totally freaking awesome, I had a blast, I wanna go again

IF anyone has PICS from the B group that would be awesome

overview of the day:
the first session consisted of a guy on a much larger bike running away from me in the straights only to park it in the corners, but he did have a decent line. The second/third sessions I followed a guy who carried some nice speed through the corners as well as the straights, learned a lot following him. the first afternoon session, i was able to get off the bike enough to get the sliders on the ground, I then spend the rest of the day following CR's and working on body position and lines. By the end of the day, I had my knee sliding most every corner on the track, the CR's told me I was doing quite well for my first time. I had an absolute blast, I am a bit sore and tired today, but its worth it.

Glad you enjoyed yourself! I got to move boxes and furniture yesterday. So you definitely picked a great way to spend your day!

Not sure IF I'm ready to sell my soul, but I will work for trackdays. Who has a pt job available that pays in track time?

Two great track days.

Despite packing the trailer in the heavy downpour Monday, and driving halfway up and all the way back in the rain, the track time was flawless. Not too many people either day, and at the end of the day Wednesday I got a one-on-one for most of the last session with CR Matt G (big thanks!) which has given me some new priorities for what needs to get fixed first. (it's between my ears.)

Clocked over 350 miles on the track over two days.
Was running with a literbike on the front straight and ran out of gears and throttle - I need to go faster!!!! He's getting awayyyyyyy! Nothing like having the bike pinned in 6th bouncing off the rev limiter and screaming "I need more speed!" in your helmet.

I am geared -1/+1 - a little short for RA on a 6.

Fun Times! We may need to add Hix to the list of those we keep matches away from.

Thanks for the feedback and pointers from several CR's including Matt, Jamie, Steve B, and others. Extra thanks to Steve B for having the right bolt for my subframe after one of mine vibrated out somewhere, and to Joe D @ Turn One Racing for his advice and willingness to share his knowledge. Thanks all.

Craig
