POST June 5/6 - NESBA Blackhawk Farms

Saturday was OK...We got 3 or 4 dry sessions then the skys opened up. Once it stopped and the squeegeed the track sessions were open again. Overall the turnout was low and after the rain stopped hardly anyone rode. In some session there was only 1-3 people on the wet track. Most of the people, including myself, just chilled out and packed up early.

I went out for a few laps on the wet track and decided I'd rather just pack up and head home early. Met more people on the forums...I'm sure the Sunday guys are having a blast since it's sunny as FAK today :_ (

Some random pics from my Facebook mobile uploads...

Civic EX pulling the Harbor Freight trailer courtesy of Drama! Note...Baxley chocks are awesome!!

Since I'm Tony also I copied Tony Under200 pic

Morning meeting with Fred.

More meeting.

Greeny being announced as doing his audition day for CR'ing. He passed with "flying colors"...

more meeting.

Trent on the ground already.

Marshal chillin.

Marshall singing.

Greg ran the Beginner's meeting.

Not fun after 3 sessions.

Ohlins guy looked bored.

Greg scootering in the rain.

CR slicks no worky in rain :P

Anyone know how to contact the photographer (redline photo). I tried their website and the "contact" option doesn't work. Like a dumbass I left without picking up the pics I paid for.

I'll take an internal or a trauma doc any day over an orthopod at the track. Save the carpenter for when I get taken back to his fancy woodshop. Broken bones can wait

In any case glad you're getting out. Seeing it is the first step in the addiction.
We are going out to Gingerman next weekend if you're free. PM me and I'll send you details.

Sorry to hear that Saturday got rained out so bad...

Sunday was pretty nice until right at lunch it stared to rain for a bit but let of before the first session after lunch stared.
It's interesting how much I puched my first two sessions, which were the first once on a track since my ankle decided it needs to split from my bones... It wasn't too bad that I creeped the track those sessions, as it was slippy in some parts and my tires didn't stay in line eve at slower speeds.
At the third session I got some nice tows from Spooner, and I made a big jump to where I was last time I was out. The sessions after lunch had some wet-spots but the race line was dry and I kept hitting my line every time I went around. I'm still a bit of from the speed from the last time, but over all happy to be back on the track! I skipped the last few sessions after it had rained again and I didn't feel to mess up a nice day with a crash.

Thanks Cheyenne for the seat under your ez-up, nice to see everyone out there!

First, big thanks to Nesba for the free trackday. I had a blast, good times with good people. Chey - thanks again for the ride and hospitality. Keith - I think I rode with you to a bike night once, but that's it. Nice to actually hang out for a bit, you're welcome to pit with me anytime Germany - nice to put a face with the name. Hope to see you at more trackdays. Heal up! Mother nature - not cool. The hurricane overnight didn't make for ideal sleeping conditions.

I ended the day early due to my brakes essentially cutting out at the end of the straight going into turn one. After crapping my leathers, I managed to slow down enough to ride the outside of the rumble strips and not go off roading. New master cylinder should be ordered this week. Timing worked out well though, the heavy rain started just as I finished packing up.

Hey as long as you don't park your bike in the middle of the turn and raise your hand because you go some sparkles on your visor, al is good.

Yea that was funny when that guy apologized to Germany. I was thinking WTF!!

Nexus you should of pitted with us. Plenty of room. I seen ya go by and park by Turn One and figured you had to talk to them. Next time I looked you were all set up

They used to be sooooo much better. They changed biscuit vendors I think. I was disappointed.

But it's ok, like I need more biscuits and gravy.

Real funny fucker. Just wait till I get da bump..... But honestly, I had a blast and learned a ton.... Funny thing is a couple of the guys who did get a bump, we went back and forth passing each other. It's all good though!! Learned alot and can't wait to learn more.

Huge thanks to Kim and Nolan for all the advise on body position. I still can't get over how "I thought" I had the correct body position....NOT!!

After taking the advise I applied it on the track and what a difference.

man - you and kim have enough rubber in your trailer to start a tire store. and your trailer is costco massive...bigger than most apartments i have lived in....can i rent out some space in it sometime?
