My friend has never ridden on the track, I'd like him/her to try it for free!

That should state, I'd like THEM to try it for free

So, you ride on the track, but you're friends don't get it. They think you're nuts, but you think they'd love it! The track family atmosphere, the fun of pushing you and your bikes limits in a safer environment.

The opportunity to get coaching and advice for free from experienced performance motorcycle instructors.

What I will offer to you! The opportunity to nominate a friend to win a free day at the track.

What you will need to do. Ensure your nominee can make it to the track on Monday September 5th to ride with Nesba at Blackhawk Farms. Ensure they have a way to get their bike to the track. Whether that be riding it or transporting it. Ensure they have the proper gear or help them get in touch with us to see if rental gear is available for them. Pre-check their bike to ensure it will pass tech inspection per our riders manual.
http://www.nesba.com/Info/Downloads/manual.pdf

The final thing. THEY MUST COME WITH AN OPEN MIND AND BE WILLING TO HAVE FUN!

Post a few sentences for us that tell us why you love to ride on the track. What do you love most about it?

Then tell us about your nominee who has NEVER done a track day. I'm not going to police you. I'm trusting you and the other board members to keep it honest. Tell us why you believe they will love it and join you regularly next year after having tried it. Tell us what you think they will learn and how they will benefit.

We'll choose a random winner later in the week when we draw for the other Nesba giveaways.

Oh yeah.... For being a great friend, you'll get to lead by example and ride with them as well. You must accompany them and ride on Monday as well. You also must come and have fun!

Damn! I know the perfect guy to nominate, but I can't be there Monday.

This is an excellent opportunity to give someone who needs it the push to get on the track!

Sorry if I poached your idea. It actually popped into my head based on a reply to the other thread. All these voice in my head and none of them have anything original to say

Sorry to say it, but you have to be able to start from a stop without killing the bike to go on the track...

He did start it ... (with some help) ... and did half a lap. But it looks like it's all your fault Greg

since it looks like no one has actually nominated anyone in this thread, I would like to do so. my brother in laws buddy has been buggy me for a few months now about getting out to the track. he's been riding his R6 for a several years now and realizes he can't actually "ride" the bike on the street. he's a young guy and definitely stoked about getting out. he actually just picked up a suit, boots and a bp from eBay this past week in hope of making it out. I think it would make his day if he was the recipient of the NESBA trackday scholarship and therefore I nominate him.

I've got one too. But, I'll start with why I'm a track junkie.

I started riding on the street 11 years ago April 15th. While cruising around the city was fun at first, it got boring. After that, came the 600 mile day trips to Wisconsin to hit some twisty roads west of Madison. After a few of those trips, I kept getting better. Before I knew it, I was going obscenely fast on blind country roads. It was simply a matter of time before I screwed up or was unlucky and something happened. A buddy said I needed to get my ass to the track. So, I did. And have never looked back. Where else are you going to put your bike down on the apex of the corner, knee on the deck scraping every expansion joint on the candy canes than at the track. It's a rush.

Anyway, about my buddy.

I've struggled to get my buddy Jeff out on the track. He's hung out at the track 3 or 4 times. He knows what it's about. But, getting him to commit to a track day has been difficult. He's been a little intimidated by riding on the track. Specifically, he asked me if we could get out their and run at our own pace.

This opportunity could push him over the edge. All it will take is 1 track day, and I'm sure we'll have him hooked!
