No flip up helmets?

I was going though the rider's manual and it says no flip-up lids. Anybody know how strict Nesba is about this? I planned on buying a new helmet at the end of the season to take advantage of clearance sales but if I must buy one for Putnam next month I guess I will.

They don't do equipment tech in the Midwest, but if a CR sees something that doesn't belong on the track they'll pull you off. I don't know if they are really strict on the flip up lids, though.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I thought they were supposedly briefly checking equipment (as well as stickers, obviously) when everyone's gridded up. They never appear to be strict about it, but if they notice your flip-up, they might not be cool with it.

what size head you have. ive got a large and a medium hjc you can use at Putnam. my suggestion is not to use the flip up lid, and kevin does check everyone before they go on the track, if its not allowed you wont get on.

Nope Jay....like the helmet Kelly has, where the whole front of the helmet hinges upwards, not just the visor.

Thanks for the offer, I'll just go shopping. Needed a new helmet just didn't think so soon. Yay credit cards!
