RA 6/10 Report

My bike handled like shit getting to and from Tech. No other details to give as the fuggin rain washed us out!

Nothing like a 350 mile roundtrip to get a Schnitzelburger!

I did sorta feel bad for the Intro guys that rode to the track...that had to have sucked.

Perhaps the sun god will smile at Putnam

Yeah, everyone gets NESBA credit for the trackday. We sat around until 10 before they told us they were calling it a day. I already had my stuff packed up so I left there in a hurry.

I'll post some pics this evening. You couldn't see more than 1/4 mile. The fog was really thick and it was raining/misting the whole morning. Yeah, it was a waste of gas/time/hotel money.

BTW, Carlos, PM me your address so I can send you a check. At least the hotel was nice.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I had to go up to Sheboygan for work today - saw someone pulling back through the rain about noon. Who's #321 (white GSXR)?

Did you see all the accidents on Hwy 43 / 94 ? There were cars rear ending people, cars spinning out in the rain. It was nuts.

Holy crap! That sounds scary.
My drive back to MN was as uneventful as our trackday. :-(
Oh well.

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

Yeah, Milwaukee was a mess. All the way to the state line sucked. Morons tailgating at 65 in a downpour without their lights on. I was expecting a 30 car pile up.

Where's tjpilot? I wanna kick him in the shin for stealing all the sun!

Yeah the day did suck. High point was watching some guy almost getting crushed underneath his GSXR loading it into his pickup without any help. Nice meeting a few people though. Hopefully I see you again soon on a dry track.

Good thing I went to the other track day org. It was beautiful Wednesday and had a super get time. You should see all the blackies on the track from the AMA guys.

Sorry to hear you guys had such bad luck. When we looked at the forecast earlier in the week it was supposed to be better for you guys on Thursday. When we got up in the morning we were thinking there was no way we were going to be able to ride. We lucked out, but I can tell you there were more crashes than any other trackday I've done. There were at least 2 crashes per session we did. I don't think any serious injuries but the ambulance was on track more than usual. The dude running the show was getting pissed because of the crashes and fact people in the into class were doing stand-up wheelies comming up the hill after turn 14. He was also pissed people were doing wheelies out of pit out. My opinion, he said no intentional wheelies. That kind of leaves the door open for interpretation for people to have a little fun. It was still a blast! Much better than April when we had a high temp of 48 degrees.
