Roll Call: Putnam 10/16 & 10/17

Anybody else headed down to Putnam for either or both dates? I'm in for Saturday.

P.S. First time down there... What's a good hotel near the track with a pool?

The Holiday Inn Express and Super 8 in Cloverdale both have indoor pools; however, the Covered Bridge Festival is the same weekend and I'm willing to bet that they're both booked.

Maybe someone has extra space for sharing?

Did you mean 10/16, & 10/17...?

I'm debating on getting the NESBA membership to do this and possibly Atlanta... BUT I NEED CONVINCING...

How is Putnam anyways? Trackwise? Smoother vs. rougher...?

Any blind turns?

Ride Safe.

Putnam is my favorite midwest track....wide, grippy, and FAST! Plenty of run-of in all turns except the last one.

Unfortunately, I doubt I will be there.

I'm thinking about doing this. If I go it'll be on Saturday.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I'm in for both days.

Good luck with the hotel situation. A thread over at NESBA indicates most everything is full up.

I plan to brave the elements in my trusty tent at the Cloverdale RV Park.

I just signed up using the track credits from days that NESBA cancelled earlier this year. A friend has a truck he is borrowing from from his work to pull a two bike trailer borrowed from another friend. Yet another friend has an extra hotel room reservation. My wife totally supportive of me going! Everything has just fallen into place.

I am just all out of excuses now so Putnam, here I come!!

This extra weekend will shorten up the winter in a big way.

Zippy - sounds like it's meant to be!

We're looking forward to seeing the CLSB folks again. As usual, Tom will be cooking breakfast on Sunday. Please come help yourself.

See you there!

Hey Carol,

Do you know if there will be tire changing service there?

I look forward to seeing you and everyone again.

Matt better be there. He's bringing me tires! Last time there my day was over a couple sessions early. I'm actually wearing out tires! Oh, right; that's not really a milestone to be happy about, is it?

If you need tires or other goodies, better let Matt know asap. Since it's end of season, he's not stocking stuff in the quantities he normally does.

Talking

I just signed up for my NESBA Membership, and for this Saturday (16th).

I'm in!

Does anyone need me to take up some floor space in their hotel room friday night, to lighten their bill?

Ride Safe.

Ytrap, you really got the Putnam rate? If so, I'll have to give them a call. Last 2 times we were there, they checked and said they couldn't do it cause of the festival.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you aren't too badly injured, but it sounds like you are. I guess you really are the DucatiDestroyer! At least you have the winter to get everything patched up.

Take care of yourself, Destroyer. Get well soon.
