Barber In March 2005

Alright, let's see who all is going. NESBA has Barber Motorsports Park on its calendar for March 25th and 26th. I'm going. I'll be leaving Thursday the 24th early in the morning, hopefully I'll get there in the late afternoon like last time.

I also plan on camping at the track because they have nice clean facilities.

Who else is going to go?

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Hmmmm....Barber would be nice no question but I was thinking about riding something new like VIR on the 12th, 13th, and 14th. Should be just as nice in March in Virginia.

A rode trip with 3 trackdays is better than a rode trip with 2 days in my book.

VIR (about the same distance as Barber)
Total Est. Time: 14 hours, 12 minutes Total Est. Distance: 780.63 miles

Barber
Total Est. Time: 11 hours, 25 minutes Total Est. Distance: 727.06 miles

John, that would be cool to do VIR, but my step-dad and brother are planning on meeting me at Barber. I really like that track and I want to do it again.

Besides, 3 trackdays in a row would be a little much for me. I get tired after 2, so I don't want to push it.

wow, thanks Jon for posting that. I'm signing up today. I'm still definately going! My stepdad and brother are also driving in from New Mexico to go.

edit: Okay, I just signed up. I like that $15 off if you sign up for 2 trackdays back to back. Still, my bank account wants to slap me.

You have extra room in the trailer for another bike? We can share the cost and driving duties.. I so I'll sign up today too.

Sorry, bro, but I'm taking my girlfriend this year. I've got to strap her down next to my bike in the trailer, so I'm afraid there won't be room for yours..... just messin'. She is going, so I won't be able to take any other bikes this year.

Well crap. Looks like I'm not going to be making this trip. Oh well, there are more Barber dates later in the year. When it'll be nice and HOT in Alabama.
