So who's ready for the Nesba midwest season opener on 4-16 and 4-17?

19 more days and I haven't even looked at my trackbike. I need to make sure she fires up this year and probably should not wait until the day before like last year. The good news is that I have a new garage to work in so I don't have an excuse.

I'll be using Amsoil synthetic for the first time ever so Im looking forward to see how much smoother she may shift.

I may also need to aquire some new rubber...anyone else planning on using leftover rubber from last year? I would think the rubber would still be good after sitting in the cold all winter.

looks like your pretty good at doing wheelies if that you in the pic, if thats the case im sure you know the importance of tire pressure. when in the tech line ask them what tire pressure the recommend for street tires on the track. im guessing 31r/31-32f, but definetly check with one of them! you should be good to go.

Try your best to keep your front wheel on the ground. The track officials frown on wheelies, plus they only slow you down on the track.

Got the bike out of storage today - started up on the very first try

Should be able to get oil & coolant changed this week and be ready for Blackhawk on Saturday.

My last years tires have tons of rubber left - so I'm gonna give them a try. But they did seem to get hard & bluish on the top. Hope that comes off on the first couple of laps.

closer yet....
got the coolant flushed, valtermoto rearset plates on, just have to work on the tail section and then tighten up the bodywork.

won't have it painted for this weekend though.

that cheetah bodywork is a pain the ass to mount. have to trim and cut this and that...

next time i'm shelling out the $$$ for some sharkskinz or maybe armour bodies.
