Teamgofast results from 6/11/05 north course AutoBahn

it was a good day, i got a GREAT spot for the team to park our rigs.

without going into great detail.

TGF 1st time at the north course @ AB

1st place : JeffwithaJ 1:12.28?
2nd place: Odysseys 1:12.69
3rd place: Kruz
4th place: JimGoFast

i dont remember the exact times but i remember john hit a 13

also i would have had 1:12.20

BUT since i swapped to slicks, i didnt drop my ride height enough, and had to deal with some MASSIVE head shakes while coming out of corners, after 4 laps i got use to it and charged on. something ive never felt before is when i was under breaking went into 1 "already passed the becon, legitly" downshifted and turned in, BUT i got a mild headshake while 1/2 leaned over.

i didnt know what to do other then go stright, into the grass, pea gravel, then back on grass and got back on the track, which was the last lap.

needless to say i DQ'd myself for that regaurdless.

GREAT going Jeff

p.s. get some new tires.

Well I don't belong to TGF, but I rode with them for 2 good sessions. I needed them in front of me to really push me and get my lap times down. Started the day in the mid-1:12's, but after lunch turned several 1:11's with a fast lap of 1:11.08.

Finished the day chasing Ken and Jeff. Jeff had tire troubles in the last session, and on the final lap I was closing in on Ken in the front straight only to see him look back at me then proceed to run off the track b/c of headshakes going into T1. I was hoping to try and reel him in on the final lap but that was not to be. Thanks for the good times TGF!

Sounds like pretty respectable times, I watched some of you guys on the track and you all looked damn good

Nothing but bad luck for me... Quick laundry list of my problems:

-Damn detour made me 25 mins later than I wanted to be
-Only got 10 mins of track time
-Ran off the track once in T2 in those 10 mins but got back on, almost ran off again when I hit the curbing hard with my knee in T6 and got spooked. Never learned the track, so I was prolly the slowest "I" guy out there
-Had to spend the rest of the day having MD Racing replace my chain and sprockets. Mat said it was the worst looking chain he'd ever seen that hadn't snapped off the bike yet
-Had to borrow, beg, buy from people on the track: chain tool, rear sprocket, and a master link for the chain
-Lost my full gas container when it fell out the trailer on the way to the track (1 rubber strap isn't enough even if it did work the last 20 times!) At least I didn't need the gas...
-And finally, 1 Broken Canopy

I really need to learn to maintain my bike better

Thanks to MD Racing and everyone else who helped me out, and nice to meet some CLSB people there

Oh well, better luck tommorow, south track should be fun.

well in the morning before it got hot i managed a 1:14.75 for a best, most of my times where in the 1:15.00-1:15.10, so im pretty happy with that, gearing kept me from charging the fast sweepers as fast as i could, need to get that front sprocket on.
the track is awsome, couple decreasing radius turns with a very fast and flowing sweeper section in the middle, a very welcome change to black hawk. after lunch it just got to hot for me and had a difficult time with the dam long ass wait to get on the track, Autobahn needs to work on there track managment. after lunch we waited fully suited in no shade for 20 minutes to get on the track!!!
