Fastest route to Putnam??

whats the consensus on getting to putnam? There are several different decent ways to get there from the west suburbs, so what have you guys found is usually the quickest?? Last time I took 80/94 to 65 to 465 to 70 to 231 on the way down and it took roughly 3.5 hours, but goin through Indy basically makin a u-turn back west doesn't sound like the best option. So what is it? thanks

Kevin

57 to 74 to 231 easiest not fast unless 80/94 and 65 are f'd up

old NESBA post search will find hotels. Holiday Inn Express in Cloverdale has Putnam discount rate. We'll probably be there. Although some of the other motels close by might be cheaper. Grouch can chime in on the camping.

Yes. I've tried other routes but always ran into construction and traffic sucks. We try to leave Friday afternoon about 4:00pm. The route looks longer on the map but when you consider the speed limits, cruise control, and very light traffic its worth a couple extra miles. I used the same route for work for over 20 years. The old Ramada across from the Holiday express had a killer rate last year but I forgot the new name. I bet "clarson" on the Nesba board would have the latest scoop on that.
