Barber anyone?

We are heading to Barber with NESBA this weekend and I wanted to see if anyone was interested in going.

So far from INDY area we have Steve Gould and Frank (brassballs1979)

From Chicago area, we have Wink, AdrenalinJunkie and RonHix.

Anyone else interested in a weekend at one of the best tracks in the country?

So far, you, me and Dave (AJ). Still room for one or two more. Let's save some gas money. I have room in the Excursion for bodies, and room in the trailer for bikes and gear.

Nah. Painting our guest bathroom has turned into a 70 hour torture test. Once that's done, I need to tear the GSXR forks apart and throw on the new shock. I'm aiming to have it all done for Putnam next weekend.

Barber is by the far the nicest track i've been to. top notch, trim place, and the track rocks!

Elevation changes, continuous flow, and a fast pace.

I learned my lesson about "I" Traffic, i'll be recovering and fixing up my bike this week, and hopefully make it to Putnam.

Look forward to seein everyone!

Forgot to mention this on my last post. Due to my crash on Sunday, i put a hole in my gas tank. Was wondering if anyone has, or knew where i could get a gas tank for an 05 zx6r (636) - or if anyone knew how to fix such a problem.

I really appreciate everything, and thank everyone in advance for any help.

As for Ron & Wink's glamour shot - that's just precious. Which one of you had to slow down to get that shot lined up?

(cool shots everyone - good luck with that tank!)

I was running a considerable faster pace then the 3 guys i was gaining on. They were half a track ahead of me, and I had gained on them in abour 2-3 laps. Anyways, i had passed them coming out of turn 5, and lead into the coaster - however..one of them decided they wanted to be first and shot in really hot into the coaster and i was right on his ass coming out of that downhill right. As we booked it down that short straight, i was on his ass, and was ready to pass him at the kink (the quick left, then quick right). Right when he entered the left, he hit THE BRAKES! Keep in mind I was right on his ass, and was proceding to the outside line, but had no space. to the right - grass, to the left - grass.

I hit the brakes - front locked up. Pulled an endo, hit the pavement. Ouch!

What pissed me off the most was the next lap, i was lookin for the guy, and as he rode by, looked me..waved..and rode off.

Yea..im pretty bummed about that record of mine. I'm giving myself a chance to learn some really good lessons early on in the season

My bike actually isnt messed up to bad. I'm hoping to get it all squared away this week, and back on the track at Putnam this weekend. I gotta say, im glad that i've fell, and learned the hard way...motorcycles have a way of DIRECTLY letting you know what NOT to do. =)

Mostly it was a traffic & passing issue. Needless to say...i screwed myself to protect the moron who slammed on the brakes infront of me.
