Who's going to June 3rd-4th Autobahn? Registering/signup questions within...

So I've been thinking about doing some trackdays this year...

Well, more than just thinking really, I have a trackbike and one piece leather, helmet, boots, back protector. Still kinda thinking I need gloves though as my crap-ass Joe Rockets are non-gauntlet and I lent them out and they came back kind of stiff, I guess a combination of being left out in the cold + whatever was in that soft bag did them in kinda.

Anyway, when I started thinking about doing NESBA days a while ago I didn't really think I would be ready for Autobahn N June 3rd-4th but it's finals week at school and I'm just really itching to get out of here this week and I figured why not go to one of the Autobahn N days as a first bike track day?

What I'm wondering is, are any of ya'll going? If so, do you have a spare spot on your trailer? I'd be willing to kick in for gas and whatever else of course, that's no problem. Problem is I don't have a trailer or a pickup at the moment and the only way I'd get there is through the graces of another rider.

Also wondering, is there a deadline for registration? Unless I'm sure I'd have a way to get there, I obviously don't want to put the monies down. I know NESBA does the "free session" thing so I'm thinking I don't necessarily need to register beforehand for my first time but I'm not really sure so I thought I'd ask.

I'll be there June 3rd. I was planning to ride down if I couldnt find someone to haul my bike, but if you live near Bartlett, we can split a Uhaul truck or something?

You really ought to register before hand, even for the free intro (2 sessions), just so you know you've got a spot. Some events do sell out for B and I, though I don't know if Autobahn North will.

If you're looking at a full day, there is a $20 late-registration penalty/early registration discount (depending on how you look at it...)

I'll be there both days, but I'm up in the land of Beer, Cheese, and Brats.

I will be there both days as well, but Like Dan, Im heading there from Wisconsin, well... Waukegan. And my trailor is only set up for one bike currently. Ive thought about setting it up for 2 bikes, but my little truck struggles enough with one bike on board, so I dont really want to break the thing lugging 2 around.

[email protected] the AMA races. I would rather be riding around the track than watching people go round and round.

Should be a low turn-out because of the AMA, but thats nice. It will be my first time at Autobahn, so a low count will make it easier.

I live at 59 & Shoe Factory (just north of Bartlett), I can probably take your bike down there in my trailer nflor001 if you would like. Can you get the bike over here?

I'll be there June 3rd with KimF4i. Maybe the 4th too if all goes well. First trackday of the season for us. Gonna be rusty but looking forward to it. Look for silver Durango towing a yellow gsxr600 and a black/red/grey gsxr1000. Stop by and say hi.

will do, we will be getting to Autobahn early on Sat. If you can bring the clips to the track, that would be stellar. Otherwise, maybe he can pick them up tomorrow or Thursday.

So, come find us when you pull in. Pit with us. Look for Gold Excursion, white trailer. Gonna be FUN!!

i dont mind at all hanging with ya guy.

need me to still bring my big ass EZUP?

if he wants to pick them up and sooner thats fine by me, otherwise i have them in my track tool box that always comes with me.

BTW should i even asked how he got his upper and lower to hold together?

if it involves scuffed and scratch paint, just dont tell me, just lie to me or something.

He didn't use your plastics, he used his old ones, so yours are still pretty and perfect.

If you have a big EZUP, sure, that would be great. See ya in a couple of days.
