They've always had the camping fee (which sucks, considering they don't even have the basics of similar priced facilities). Gate fee is new though. Ouch, theyneed more rich folks to join up.

i thought NESBA was the one that is the one that set the gate fees?!?! isn't that supposed to be one of the benifits of a NESBA membership?

They charged per person today whether you rode or not. Someone said NESBA was going to credit the gate fee charge back to members who rode though. Not sure if that is true or not.

YEP bob called up and chewed them out.

RIDERS do not pay a gate fee.

that was in there contract IF AUTOBAHN wants to charge spectator thats there business.

so as of now, all riders that paid that 5 bucks will see a credit on there account.

but i think its still clear that AB is charging a gate fee now.

P>S> anyone that road today and paid make sure you keep your band so you can get in free tomorrow, since its valid for the whole weekend.

AutoBahn did not have gate fees for spectators last year. I went a couple times with my boys, and there were no fees. I thought the way NESBA had it listed in their brochure that there were no fees for friends/family as well.

I was going to come down today or tomorrow, with my 2 boys & some friends we have staying with us, but I don't have the $35 bucks to spend a few hours watching (of course, I do need to be studying for a final tomorrow).

I can understand a gate fee for race spectators, but not for track day riders or spectators.

That's pretty good for a CCS event, I had to pay $25 to get my friend in at Blackhawk...

despite Bob's call they still charged fees on Sunday too. the lady in the office waved an official ACC memo under my nose stating that she was to collect fees from everyone

she tried to clear it up by pulling out her handbook of "Emergency Numbers" to reach someone for clarification, but after 6 attempts going down her contact list and reaching nobody she gave up and told us that if we want in to fork over the gate fees.

good thing there weren't any REAL EMERGENCIES that she had to deal with...
