I'll be there for both days. It wil be the first time I'll be doing a full weekend. I'm really looking forward to taking whatever I learn on Saturday into Sunday with a fresh perspective. The last Blackhawk Saturday was awesome...as I feel I was finally "getting it" during the last few sessions. Following the line, riding within my limits, while learning to increase my corner entrance speeds are my goals. Wink...any tips you can give me during the weekend will, of course, be greatly appreciated!

I'm a fair weather track rider now..I'm waiting for closer weather reports before I decide. If I go it will be both days. They are in another time zone, right? So I need to take off about 4-ish to get there by 8AM

Running a full weekend usually really helps cement the learning and give you an opportunity to move forward in your skills ata faster pace. Especially for new track riders. Much of the first day is spent getting comfortable on the bike, with the form and line, and learning the new track. That is a lot to take in, now add traffic to it... lol. You get the idea. I'd be more than happy to work with you this weekend and help in any way that I can. Be sure to grab me before a session in the hot pit, or in the paddock before we go out.

Lookin forward to it! New track for me as well.

With one BIG word of warning...........

When you hit the track the morning of day two you will be pretty
comfortable from the day before..... that can bite you bad.

Track can be slick in the AM, tries are cold to the carcass, you
are faded and not mentally up to speed yet. Make sure that you
adjust your brain for the first couple WARMUP sessions and ride
them at WARMUP pace.

RECALIBRATE !

Yes, and it is free. They have showers available also. I believe they close the front gate at 9 or 10 at night.

I'm for Saturday. I will probably be available to crew on Sunday. I will be crewing for "Team Wink" riders Ron Hix and Brian Wink. If anyone needs a hand with something, find me at the really big white trailer. I was at the track earlier this year. Bring your cornering skills! Those straights aren't very long. See you there.

At CCS events they charged if you camped in a spot with electricity, whether or not you actually used it. So, if you are tent camping, set up shop alongside the 'main' road, away from the pit lane.

Unless it gets completely booked by tonight when I get home, I'll be heading over there this weekend.

There is a motorcycle track day there the next day (18th), if you have the time.

Just booked. Stopped by Jewel and picked up some 'supplies'

30 pack of PBR
cranberry juice
brats and italian sausage (oh shit, here comes the jokes)

I forgot that I'm damn near out of vodka, but I have Ciclon so I'll have something.

Oh, and I have some fish I MIGHT bring, but that's tough to grill so I may leave it here.

We going to have TV/DVD? I've got UFC 1,2,3, and 5 here.

It's not to late to join us. I just remember doing an intro at Road America, then a day in the rain at Blackhawk. I went to Gingerman for a test and tune and was suprised their straights are so short. But after RA what wouldn't seem short.

If your bike is lonely, I'm sure Wink would give it some corner hugging luvin' for you.
