NESBA Roll Call: Autobahn South 9/23-24/06

Post up if you are going to Autobahn South this weekend with NESBA. Most likely the closest track for most of you (or perhaps Blackhawk). Here are the details:

Autobahn Country Club
Joliet, IL

Lodging - Most of the NESBA folks camp on-site. Camping for the weekend is $30. Very nice shower and bathroom facilities are available, however no power is available. Camping is in the paddock area.

Description: A very fun and technical track, wide sweeping tight horseshoe, followed by a series of 60-90 degree corners. ACC South has three very fast sections in it, the first one with a very high speed kink, tons of fun for new and experienced riders alike. It has a back straight with a chicane at each end as well as the front straight. The track is bumpy in some areas, but is very manageable at lower than high "A"-pace.

Track Map - Autobahn South
2.1 miles long, 40 feet wide, 15 turns, longest straight is 1850 feet, two chicanes. Very fast and very technical track.
Track Record - Autobahn South: 1'25.962"

I'm in for Saturday... and if it rains, it's par for the course for me. 2006 has not been what I consider a dry season.

I don't even have a smart a** analogy that would be sufficient.

Rain tires are a blessing from the track gods.

MD Racing. Just tell him the type of bike, it looks like you have an F3. He can bring the rains to the track for you and mount them there. Mounting is included in the price. Dunlops are the preferred NESBA product.

Call Matt Drucker
Mdracingstp.com
He's at all the midwest Nesba events. He can deliver them to the track and mount them onsite as well.

Get in touch with him ASAP, so if he doesn't have them on hand, he might have enought time to get them for you.

Tell him Greg Kotlinski sent ya. I'm sure he'd give you a discount then. Or he may just hang up on you......
