Garth is providing free t-shirts to everyone who attends and the Larson's are providing a knock-out dinner on Saturday night. I heard the CCS AM MW OA/NATL HWSB/NATL HWSS is going to be there. We need more people there to help him carry all those titles around!

There's a nice car vid of the Grand Prix config on this page. I don't know for a fact, but I bet that's what we'll run.

Too bad you didn't ask at Putnam. We have some vid on DVD, old and new config.

I hope to be there! I heard that the Club course cuts out the walls that are on the full course. No walls would be good, especially for people like me who are too stupid too slow down on cold mornings!

Well I know there are walls in 12, 13, & 14 so it is going to be hard to cut them out. I am not sure what the courosel looks like. Last time I was at Heartland the pavement was to shot in that section to run it.

When I was there with CCS this summer, we ran the GP configuration. I just looked at the different configs and I don't know that one is any safer than any other, just shorter and sort of a six of one/half dozen of the other type of thing.

They're all fun, and you just have to ride smart in a couple of places, same as at Blackhawk, Autobahn, Road America, Putnam, Mid-Ohio, Road Atlanta, and pretty much everywhere else for that matter.

It's a track day not a race, so theoretically we should all be able to ride within ourselves and not get up close and personal with any hazards off track. Cut to scene two:Marshall stuffed headfirst into a wall

I vote for the GP config. The carousel's a blast, and no matter which configuration we run there's still going to the same stupid wall at the outside of T5 (GP config) which is also the outside of T2 (club config).

One way to look at it is the shorter the configuration we run, the more "traffic" there will be, since it will be a smaller track, but since this event seems like it will be pretty well under attended, we could probably run whatever layout we want and not have any issues with traffic.

Oh yeah, and when we were there the new pavement was smooth as silk. And grippy, too. Mmmmmm, grippy.

Tom's ridden both configs with the new pavement. He didn't express any particular concern (to me) but he's more of an "it is what it is" kind of guy.

Besides, either you want to ride or you don't... (sorry Marshall-couldn't resist the CCS paraphrase)
