Its official now. Those that missed this one, you should now figure out how to kick your own a$$ for missing a premier track and event.
This track needs to be on everyone's "must-do" events.

It was my first track day ever, and I must say it was a blast. The drive was long but definately worth it; and the weather couldn't have been any more perfect. I'd like to thank EVERYONE in the NESBA organization for making this past weekend possible. I made a lot of new friends and learned more than I could have hoped. I want to thank the CRs for all their instruction and helping me improve my skills as a rider. Thank you to the Larsons for the delicious breakfast burritos and Saturday dinner. I cant stress enough how thankful I am for being part of this family. It's something I hope to be a part of for many, many years to come. I hope to see all of you again soon.

I knew it was you. Yeah, HOT, windy, wet, and HOT.
This time of the year is ideal for that place. A couple of weeks earlier is also good. Summertime is a killer.

Thanks NESBA for letting me come out and ride with you. I had a great time. It was awesome meeting you all. Everyone was really nice, people were always offering advice, food, and beer. Big thanks to everyone. It was fun mixing it up with bigger bikes. I'll definitely be at more events next year. Man, there was some fast riders out there. I probably put more miles on my 125 than in 2-3 race weekends.

Wink, thanks for video taping and everything. It was great riding with you guys: Rick, Brian, and Erik.

While I started out with butterflies in my stomach for the first few sessions on Saturday, I ended up really liking the track. I dropped at least 35 seconds (if not more...the lap timer beacon was gone for the last 2 sessions!) and I know that there is still TONS of room for improvement. If there's one thing that sticks in my mind about this track above all others - it's that there is lots of space for growth.

Overall, the weekend was a perfect end to the season. (Of course I wish the season didn't end, but I can't do much about that!) Thanks to Tom and Carol for 3 meals, to Stacy for lunch and letting us crash at her place on Sunday night, and to Steve and Dustin for helping plan the carpooling and driving situation.

(And who could forget Ron for his always-entertaining bar behavior. Was Amy her name? )

And then there's the thanks to the CRs. You were all a HUGE help this weekend! Thanks Marshall, Paul, Melissa, Fred, Brent, Heath, Wink, Tony, and anyone else who rode with me and I'm forgetting to name. (What can I say...the members lucked out on this one and got lots of individual attention!) You each helped me improve in one way or another and I think it's safe to say the end result was amazing.

I'll miss everyone in the off-season and hope I get another chance to see you before I head off to Hong Kong next semester (January through May or June). It's been really amazing getting to know you all the past few months!
