For those of you who were going to Heartland next weekend, you are going to have some extra time to prepare for Topeka. Apparently, the super duper new upgrades to the track are NOT, repeat NOT going to be completed in time for the 28-29th dates that NESBA has booked there.
For those of you that don't know, the track is in the process of being altered at Alpha, Turn 2 and Turn 8. Walls are also being moved to create safer run-off. Anyhow, this will create not only a safer track, but also a FASTER track in the upgraded areas.
So, by now, you are most likely saying to yourself, "That's nice... but what are we gonna do about it?" The answer is we don't know yet. We just found out about the cancellation. Please stay tuned and check in here for news from the Larson's once they have determined the next steps.
I can't wait to try out the new turns, and for that matter, I am glad we aren't going to be the first vehicles on that brand new surface. Let the cars take some of the oil off and lay some rubber down for us.
In the meantime, book up for MAM... here is the MAM Rideshare thread: https://www.chicagolandsportbikes.com...ad.php?t=58603
Sorry folks, stay tuned!
