I like the ideal of a Beginner only day.

I just wished Beaver Run, PA was a little bit closer.

it's only 6.5hrs from downtown. It's worth the drive to have green track all day.

Man what a deal! Only 45 cents a minute for tracktime!

From the NESBA Site:

NESBA B & I Only Days are Here!

We have added a new date to Beaver Run. The reason we took this date it to experiment with a request from the members. We are going to try a Beginner only and an Intermediate only event.

August 18th will be an Beginner only day

August 19th will be an Intermediate only day

Some guidelines that will be followed for the events

The rules for the class will be followed
CRs will be available, for requested instruction. So if you would like help, you will need to locate a CR and ask them to go out with you.
If a CR is on the track with a shirt on, you MUST follow the CR passing rules.
CRs will be on the track to ensure the rules are follow, they may or may not be wearing their shirts.
Tire service will NOT be available, but you may contact Chris Moon to order tires and have them mounted on your own. He may be contacted at [email protected]
This will be a GREEN track, that means we will start at 9am -12pm , Lunch, 1pm-5pm riding, unless we have a red flag situation. This will be open track all day long.
The rider count will be limited.
The cost for the day will be $190 for 7 hours of track time(late fees will be waived).

If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Make sure you can pass tech with your tires, we will require at least tread left on the side of the tire.

I really wish I could go. Unfortunately my trailer ride would not be available since he is a fancy A rider. Oh yeah and a damn bachelor party to go to at 8pm.

My only words of wisdom as someone who has run open days is......

Stay hydrated! More than you can tolerate to drink and start a few days early. Make sure you start with good tires as you'll be out there all day. Bring lots of fuel.

It's a great opportunity, but be sure to take breaks. You don't want to over do it. Your body and mind need breaks. Especially as the day wears on. Don't push it and know your limits.

CR's will be available at the event. Find one and use their knowledge! Since they don't have the constraints of sessions, they may have more time to dedicate to you. Maybe get with one in the morning and the same one in the afternoon to see how your progressing and applying skills.

Can you imagine an open Blackhawk day!?!?!?!

Dean

What do the internet and Channel 11 have in common? They are both a window to the world; put it out there and do not be surprised who will see it.
