Thanks for a great season

Well, sad to say my 2007 track day season has come to a close. However, I could not be more pleased with my own progress through my first full year. The mental aspect of assuring myself I could do it was by far the toughest part. Of course I would like to have seen myself progress a little bit quicker, but if it means taking baby steps, then I guess I have to accept it.

I can not give enough thanks to the NESBA CR's. No matter how many times they had to tell me the same thing over and over in an effort to help progress me and my riding through the year, they did it and did a fantastic job. Whether it is in the pits or on the track, instruction at its finest - period! I could go on and mention each CR and each time they towed me, directed me, showed me, explained to me, etc... but each one has a part to play within their groups. When they put it together, they put it together for us - the riders - and to you... I thank you all

For me, it seems like it came together this last weekend at Putnam. I guess you could say the 2007 season was like attending school; Study all year and then go take the final exam. I am far from graduating or scoring an A, but I do not think I have had a bigger smile on my face than the one I had this weekend!! I left this weekend and ended the year with a great feeling of accomplishment.

I'll keep this short and end this here. I have met some great people at the track and through CLSB. I hope to keep the riding, business and personal friendship relationships going in the years to come. For this of you finishing out the season at Grattan and Barber, be smart and be safe.

Thanks NESBA!! See you all in 2008

Dean

I look back on this season and smile. Spending my summer with my extended family, otherwise known as the Nesbians, was a joy and made my season the success that it was. The crowd that assembles at these events, is nothing short of amazing. Whether you are looking for a part to get your ailing Ducati back on the track, need some advice on lines or suspension set up, or just want to chow down on some killer hot wings, Nesba is the place to do it.

Unfortunatly my season had to end a bit early due to my first child being due any day now. But I was there with all of you in my mind. In fact yesterday morning while you were all at Putnam I was laying in bed being a lazy ass resting off the leftovers of the hangover from the previous nights libations and watching Horsepower tv, they were doing a suspension test and it just so happened to be at Putnam park. I was laughing and admittedly solemn watching them do hot laps around that track.

To my Nesba Family, I would like to say thank you! I look forward to seeing all of you next season.

oh ya and at the bash in a few months.

I got talked into doing a track day during the beginning of May. Tony and Alex pretty much talked me into it saying they'd help me out with stuff I don't have. I decided I'd do 1 track day this year. Ended up being the slowest guy on the track, running off track twice, and almost crashing. Well everyone in NESBA made it fun so I ended up coming back for 12 track days total. I couldn't have been happier with my experience.

The CRs deserve a huge thank you for all their help and so do all the riders. The people make this organization so great and they have truly been like a extended family. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my weekends or my money and I can't wait to get back out there next year.
