I don't expect miracles to happen, just enjoyable weekends

Seriuosly though if you are doing 22 trackdays in 1 year you better be one fast mofo after that. If not something is seriously wrong.

June is going to be a killer month for you. I factored that a track weekend for me costs around $500 average. One of the few reasons I can't justify doing them anymore. Have fun, I'm very jealous.

So far I registered for...

10/11/2008 Barber Intermediate
10/12/2008 Barber Intermediate
I still can't believe I'm actually going to Barber this year

The rest is up[ in the air for now trying to balance all the different track orgs with my Reserve's Drill schedule, the Dive Rescue Training, and work schedule.

Plans are: (funds/schedule permitting)
05/03/2008 Putnam Intermediate Skills Enhancement Day
07/01/2008 Road America
07/02/2008 Road America
09/06/2008 Putnam
09/07/2008 Putnam

There are others, but not with NESBA due to scheduling. Taking vacation for track days is going to be the norm this year.

So far it's looking like:

4/12/2008 Blackhawk Beginner
4/13/2008 Blackhawk Beginner
6/7/2008 Blackhawk Beginner
6/8/2008 Blackhawk Beginner
7/1/2008 Road America Beginner
7/2/2008 Road America Beginner

In May I'm attending the Fast Freddie school as well (this should help me get out of the sucking catagory)

Now I'm just trying to figure out funds for a possible Barber trip and other days

BTW: What are people doing about going to Grattan since NESBA doesn't have any dates?

You could chase an amatuer Midwest championship racing CCS for cheaper than this summer is going to cost you doing track days.

Look at all those BHF days.. Might as well do the CCS season it is about the same BHF and more BHF.

I am not a BHF fan. There are other tracks I like better and other new to me tracks to try out. We try to do a every-other-weekend schedule to allow for oopsies and $ issues.

B-group isn't the "sucking" category. It's just the beginning. Once you move up, you'll just be at the back of the pack again, getting humbled. The BUMP is nice, just let it happen and don't try to rush it.

Sounds like you've got a good plan. You'll get there

So Drama, I'll be at every date that you posted except the first week of July. Now all we have to do is get you to add Miller and MAM in there...

and FWIW... ignore Steve. I do three times as many track days as you have listed and at least twice as many sessions per day... it still doesn't make me fast.

Here's my tentative schedule (not all NESBA though...)

April 5-6 Putnam Park STT
April 12-13 Blackhawk Farms NESBA
April 19-20 MAM Trackaddix
April 25-27 Heartland Park CCS
May 10-11 Blackhawk Farms CCS
May 17-18 MAM NESBA
May 24-26 MAM CCS
May 31-1 Blackhawk Farms CCS
June 7-8 Heartland Park NESBA
June 14-15 Putnam NESBA
June 21-22 Hastings CCS
July 1-6 Road America NESBA & CCS
July 26-27 Blackhawk Farms CCS
August 16-17 Gateway CCS
August 23-24 Blackhawk Farms CCS
Sept 6-7 Hastings CCS
Sept 20-21 Heartland Park NESBA
Sept 27-28 Blackhawk Farms CCS
Oct 4-5 MAM CCS
Oct 16-19 Daytona CCS
Nov 8-10 Barber NESBA

Realistically though I will probably end up not making it to quite a few of the track day events, especially during the months with 4 events... and man... 48 days at approximately $400 per day and it's starting to look real expensive real fast

Thanks Brian! Not going in there chasing championships or anything, if I finish the season unscathed then I'll consider it a successful year. Should be interesting running both in Lightweight and Middlweight classes, especially in the GP region where all the racing goes down on Sunday...

I am only doing the Blackhawk days, the July days at Road America, and then a couple of the putnam days towards the end of the year. I don't have any cash money for this rock and roll lifestyle.

Don't worry Dean, I will keep you company in B group. I have no interest in moving any time soon.
