how much would one of those set you back??

that would be cool to own!

cant get the image link, but what is that hydraulic piston thing that connects near the front axle on those? they have a close up shot of it on harada's 2000. Looks like it travels with the front forks(|| to them), maybe extra damping/adjustability?

Linear potentiometer. It is used by the data acquisition system to measure suspension travel.

It all goes back together the way it came apart...unless it came apart at redline!

Why wouldn't it pass? Other than the fact that 500cc 2Ts are the most brutal motorcycles in existence and will try to kill you, that is.

I'm curious about the carbon shields over the brake discs. Wouldn't those interfere with cooling? The only explanation I can think of is maybe the carbon rotors need to be super hot to work properly?

That would be my guess. The more heat carbon rotors build, the more stopping power they create.

Honda is trying it again. Last year KTM and Aprilia told them to go pound sand and I suspect they will again. Lets see 125s and 250s have some of the best, most fun to watch races and have developed most/ many of the current fast guys for the high corner speed 800s so lets change it?????

It would be cool if one of the japanese factories, kaw, suz or yam developed a current tech 250 to run with the european bikes and shoved it in Hondas face.

I completely agree, the 250 races are awesome, it'll be a sad day if the 4-stroke 500's take over

Holy smokes (pun intended).

I remember seeing these for sale back in 2004. Maybe since they've been in 'the showroom' for so long, they'd take a lowball offer?

CCS Supertwins need to be 4-strokes, right?
