Barber 10/11-12 Road Trip (Lockhart's)

Road Report:

We finally got on the road around 2 pm this afternoon, and we've made it into Kentucky. We've had good weather, although the weather at Barber will be SOOOOO much nicer.

Just got done watching the classic movie... Talledaga Nights! No, I can't spell it.

Shake and Bake Baby! If you ain't firstt...you're last!

Hope everybody has a safe trip down. We'll see you on the track.

Holy crap is it a beautiful morning We're heading south on I-65 out of Nashville, about 20 miles from Alabama. The rolling hills with the light fog and morning sun is awesome.

Tennessee has some nice roads too. A far cry from the crap we have to ride on back in Chicagoland.

Finally got the track layout down, and got some CR help from Todd. What a ride

Update:

An awesome weekend! The weather on Saturday was perfect...Sunny/80's. Todays weather was cloudy, and it started to drizzle some then a light rain during the next to last session. This caused most of the people to pack up.

Good for us though, because the last session was dry. SUCKERS!!! I-group only had 4 riders and about 5 control riders. Perfect time to work on skills, and just truly enjoying the track. The only downside was a few incidents today.

Me: Ran out of gas on the white flag lap of the last session, but managed to coast into pit out lane.

Mike L: Had the rear step out/slide, but managed to save the bike with his left knee. He's hurting a bit, but still rode the last session.

Dave L: Had an off-road, off the bike excursion (hand stand), but managed to keep his hands on the bike and recovered to continue on the with the session.

Mike M: Had a slide that he saved. It was minor according to him.

We're on our way home now
