I never knew how long chicago winters were until i started riding track... i've been getting way too antsy and signed up for the 11th and 12th. i can already tell that having an overstocked nesba account is gonna be daaangerous

this place has been pretty dead lately, so... anyone else gonna be there? lets hope for some decent weather!

Bummed in Vegas

I'm not going to be there. My employer has me heading to Las Vegas (a place I simply detest - I don't drink, chase women or gamble, so it has NO allure to me) to set up our booth for the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show. We have to lay under-carpet cables on Friday because they don't want to pay any overtime to the convention center guys to work on Easter (the 12th). I, of course, don't get overtime as I'm a "professional".

We aren't working Saturday or Sunday, but there's nothing happening at LVMS or any other track I could get to. And to make it even worse, SportBike Rentals has closed their Las Vegas location, so I'll be doing no riding in what I expect to be perfect weather.

You guys have a great time. Take it easy on the cold tires, and I'll see you at Putnam May 2&3 the weekend after I get back from LV.

Craig

I'll probably do the same. I'll be bringing my bike up to have Turn One do some suspension work for me and hook me up with tires. Not going to have the bike ready to ride by April.

ha, I'll bring my snow suit and studded tires if it's anything like last year. If it's 70 and sunny I'll be there, but I think there's a better chance of drama being straight than that happening.

Hold up a sec, correct me if I'm wrong about dates here, but Sportbike Rentals is going to be at LVMS April 19th for one day (Sunday). You could rent a track bike for the day while you're over there that day right?

The 19th there is a TD, but that's just before the show opens, and I'll be neck deep in electrical, software, and equipment problems, not to mention Product Manager drama [no, not our Drama]. (The show opens Monday the 20th). I have time only on the previous weekend, the 11th and 12th. Starting Monday the 13th, it's a flat out run until we pack it in late on the 24th. I'm on the planning, setup, show run, and teardown detail.

lulz. I'm only 53, not old enough yet for a Hardley. Hard to go for a Harley when I had my heart set on a TD.

I'm trying to talk my boss into a Colorado River Rafting trip on Saturday the 11th, and hiking in Red Rock Canyon on Sunday the 12th. So far he's game, I just need to line up the rafting co.
