POST Blackhawk 4/11-4/12

Thankfully Greg's unfortunate incident was not worse and it sounds like he'll be on the road to recovery soon. Everyone at the track was moved with concern for his safety. It was impressive to see the quick medical response of the BHF ambulance and the life flight helicopter.

As for the track weekend itself, the mornings were very cold, 36 on Saturday and 25 on Sunday. But it remained dry and when the sun warmed up the track it was pretty fun out there.

This was also my first weekend as a NESBA CR and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I worked with the beginner group both days and had fun helping them get better. I want to personally thank Greg Kotlin and Chris Frye for taking me under their wings as the new guy.

It was good to see familiar faces and meet new people. I'm looking forward to Putnam!

Nice work out there, Nolan, I didn't get a chance to go out there and spy on you like I sometimes do with new recruits but I did hear a lot of good things about your debut and it's always nice to see another solid addition to the corps.

Great seeing you and Kim again, especially with sunglasses on!
