New LA Choppers Z Bars - 8 Inch

Having these powder coated Black and will hang the Mirrors below for a bit of a raised look in the front with still keeping it tidy and narrow

Medwin - Joe is on Vacation but we can go back out some other day - I needed to get these ordered ASAP and get the work started so I can get the bike out next month

Stoked I am - Saw TONS of bikes out today already - Sigh

On the right bike, I quite agree - With the 70s style look I am going for with this bike (Ref early 70s style bikes as seen in the move "Mask" with Cher) a bit of height in the front will work well with the lowered rear - The Dyan does not have the proper head to rake it out without spending WAY too much $$ - With a lower rear and a bit of a raised grip, I can get the look I want

The bars will look like this but in black

Me too Homie - I have seen them on my bike and I dig the look

My only concern is the mirrors but if they look like shit, no mirrors or front signals and I go old school hand signals

Ive seen lots of those bars on bikes. More often then not I think they look crappy, hope yours look better.
If your looking for the older look I say go with red rims white walls, suicide shifter and apes....got a pic of your bike as it is now?

This is gonna hurt!

I like the "Mask" reference!

Definitely need to see the bars on the bike, but forget about signals and mirrors, useless garbage. I dig the 70's bike look, hope you nail it.

Apes, nah - WAY too uncomfy and I think they look too goofy

Wheels are next but they will be black rim 100 spoke - Bout $1500 each

Like the front of this Soft Tail but with a Black Rim

Thx - What sucks is the integrated signal into mirror was nice and I would hate to throw away the $$ I spent on them when I bought the bike

red rims? You are joking right. Wait I know your joking cause there is no such thing as a suicide shifter.
Maybe you could make an old skool bobber chopper from a nighthawk next time bug.

You know my junk isn't going to be seen with some hookie ass dyna, so if it doesn't look good I'll just have to fix it.

I went off your recommend Bro - The guy @ Heritage that I was working with is the guy that does all the builds for the "Harley Dealer Build Contests" and he built the Night Train that I almost bought that my sales guy ended up buying when I did not (see picks below) - Rather than spend $23K, I spent $9K with $3K in extras to build mine and try and make it look like the below, the best I could

We went through about 4 diff bar selections and he explained to me what it would look like and how it would feel with every one - Apes would make a slim bike like mine look dwarfed - Straight T does not pack what I was looking for - Fat Bends look too stock - So, we landed on the LA Chopper 8 inch Z Bar

I trust the guy 100% - He even showed me a pic of my exact bars on a Soft Tail somewhat like my Dyna and it looked just how I wanted it too - I am guessing I will have to ditch the mirrors tho

Whoa Whoa Whoa don't group me in with the cruiser people. I'm an old slow bike person. Oh and just so we know what style of hand shifter did he mean? I gotta get my info straight.

I would of just kept quite if it wasn't for the red rims. Somebody gots to learn 'em right.

By itself they don't click with me. But seeing where you are going with the build I could seen it working. I always envision those types of bars to make the bike hard to ride and put your hands to sleep and fatigue the arms. But it's almost a very mini ape hanger. I now hold all opinions until I see the whole package.

Have you ever ridden a bike with straight bars? Worst idea ever. Any more than 5 minutes of riding at a time and you have carpal tunnel.

Once. It wasn't too bad, but I only rode it for an hour. My bro went to a slightly curved bar a few years later.

*** edit He went to a different bar because he dropped a canoe on his bike.
