A Few Steps Closer

Well, added some subtractions to the HD today and got 'er a few steps closer to what I want the bike to look like

Rode it out to Gio's (beat the rain home by about 3 mins) and handed him tools

Removed:

- Front Fender
- Instrument Cluster
- Read Side Reflectors

Repositioned the Purse down low off the frame (Old School from what I am told) and tightened the kickstand extension

Next Up.....Rims - Pic 1 before Pic 2 after (both shitty Cam Phone Pics)

Something is just screaming dual headlights. Speed/Street triple dual lights. Would look bad ass. The single light just looks so antiquated, at least to me. Something just missing. Even the hardcore HD guys would second look a 2 light system.

I admire your spirit, I do, but, going for the early 70's look and Antiquated as you say is just what I am after

When I inquired about that, they said it would be a waste of money as it would not hold up and would chip - Trust me, I tried - Was impressed that a shop turned me away and had my best interest at heart and not theirs

Fork tubes can be TiN coated, that seems to work fine. Find a process that gives you the color you want? TiN coating makes it 2-3 nanometers, it will be fine with the standard fork seals.

Nitride will not wear off, my family owned FPM Heat treating, and we owned the patten years ago for it. If you want it done let me know, I still have hook ups there.

Bug,
Bike looks great, you know how I feel about the rims though. Your bike. As far as the forks, F--k Powdercoating Nitriding Super Duper Coating with special space age polymers. If it can't be done with chrome or paint it ain't worth doing. You know I've never steered you wrong before. Well thats if you don't count the whole Supermoto thing.

Well, I have asked 2 different Coaters if they could do ANY form of Coating to make it black and they both said no, independent of each other - They then both said the same thing that it would not hold up or even match the rest of the Black on the bike

I have other ideas for them - Well, Gio does at least

Oh and yes, round light with the shield above it
