Beaz,

seriously, call my guys at MCC and set up a Rocket III demo ride before you plunk down on a Hardley Ableson.

IMO, there are much better options for less money. But if you're dead set on an HD, that's not a bad bike.

Personally look around for a 2007. They upgraded the engine and trans from 88 cu to 96 and 6 speed

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

In this market, $11K can get ya a few diff things in the HD Category.

Like Chey said, the 2007 model is a diff motor and I would LOVE to have a 6th gear on mine

I have had both a 96 and now have a 88... personally i like the 88 much better! you will notice 0 differnece in power between the 2 and i am not a fan of how the 96 cools, or i should say does not cool... I am a Dyna rider... always will be, but i work on a TON of road pigs (road kings) they are good bikes just heavy, and slow, and braking is way under rated... if you get one first thing you should do is swap the pads to lyndall golds... i think that this late in the season you can find a better price... i am a huge fan of taking a 88 and doing a 95 bore kit... just screams!

(in 06 is when they came out with the 6 speed)

just for grins man you may want to take a dyna for a scoot... i love mine!

Well but only certain bikes got the 6speed that year. My Streetglide didn't. Also as far as brakes do ss brakelines. BIG difference!! I had them put on mine.

Great Bike - Rode one at the Triumph Demo Day - Triumph dude told me to shift it all the way into 6th then take it down to 15 mph and guaranteed I would not bogg - Well, he was right - Smooth as hell roll on in 6th from 15 mph

Most amazing power cruiser on the market. Bulletproof and more torque than anything. 154 ft/lbs @ <2000 rpm. Dry sump motor places everything low so it feels 200lbs lighter than it is. 10k service intervals....hands down the best damn power cruiser you can get if yoi want to put on miles.

Ride it back to back with any HD and I promise you it won't even be a contest.
