V-rod show with some go

I just traded in my Dyna bobber on a v-rod ,went to Chicago Harley
they gave me a fair deal ,because of Marty in sales there was no bs and numbers
going back in forth so I am pretty happy with the deal. This bike moves like a sportbike @122hp brembo brakes all around ,inverted forks . Great cruiser
all cleaned up ,its the muscle so the front of the bike by the triple tree looks much
better than years past,so if your lookin for a Harley grab Marty

Congrats! The night rod/v-rod is sweet looking bike. Not ready for a Harley yet, but thats the way I would go when the time comes. I Also like the iron 883, though not as mean looking as the vrod

My buddy has the NHRA edition VRod. He then had a custom supercharger installed along with some other stuff. Made 160 whp. He still prefers riding his Diavel. At the end of the day, they are pretty different bikes though.

congrats! i have a 2011 and love it. have done a few mods but nothing crazy. first thing you HAVE to do is get rid of the crappy exhaust and get something different along with a high flow air filter and a good tuner with a dyno tune to really open her up. 122hp is very generous btw. with a full stage 1 kit and a custom dyno i'm only pulling 113hp.

head over to 1130cc.com to get a feel for the mods you can do to the bike if you want, there's more than you might think. here's what i have done and its just right for me without going over the top with it:

HID headlight
new grips
vinyl wrapped front forks
2.5" handlebar risers
arnott air ride rear shocks
6" shortened rear fender with blacked out taillight
vance & hines slip on pipes, screaming eagle air filter and pro race tuner
custom removable backrest (1130cc.com forum member makes them. the harley option isn't removable and requires you drill holes into the rear fender)

Just ordered a 2014 Night rod Special in the flat black color. No 2013s close enough to get. I'll ride it stock until mid next summer then will do some rear fender mods and full exhaust swap. Probably changing suspension to air as well. Rode a buddies for 4 weeks and fell in love. Should be a good time.

Those things swallow gas. Buy a little gas can and carry it with you of you decide to go on long rides. I've rented 10 of them and almost run out of gas every time

I don't plan to use it for long rides. Goldwing and Ninja 1k for that. Besides, not sure i would be comfortable on this for anything more than short trips.
